Survey, Valuation and Administration questions

Q. Once I have booked a survey, how long will it take for the inspection to be undertaken and when will I get my report?

A. Upon receiving instructions, we can normally inspect within three to five working days (but can be longer if we are busy). We aim to provide the report within ten working days of inspection but this can often be a shorter turn-a-round time.

Q. What surveys do you offer for residential properties?

A. We offer a Level 2 Homebuyer Report and a Level 3 Building Survey

Q. What are the differences between the type of report?

Q. What do I have to do once I have instructed you?

A. Once we have been instructed, we will arrange to carry out the inspection direct with the owner and/or estate agent and then we will carry out the inspection and report to you.

Q. Can I talk to the surveyor undertaking inspection?

A. When taking the instructions, either the surveyor or one of the Team will go through a series of questions. Once the report has been forwarded to you the surveyor will be pleased to talk either over the telephone or meet you at our offices by prior appointment so that you may ask any questions that you may have concerning the report.

Q. Does my legal adviser need to know?

A. We will ask you at the time of instruction if you wish a copy of the report to go to your legal adviser. If so, we will forward one at no additional cost directly to them.

Q. How can I pay for my report?

A. We accept credit and debit cards, bank transfers and cheques.

Q. Is the Valuer/Surveyor qualified?

A. The Valuer/Surveyor undertaking the report is a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with many years of experience of dealing with the local area.

Q. Is the Valuer/Surveyor registered?

A. The Valuer/Surveyor is registered with the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
